Read an Excerpt!
I am just a raindrop; I am smaller than small.
What am I doing here? I have no use at all…
“What are you talking about?” asked the Cloud, “You are part of the water system, and you should be proud.”
“No,” said the Raindrop, “I am sure you are wrong. I am good for nothing, and soon I’ll be gone.”
“I know your problem,” the Cloud said in reply. “I can do nothing to help you, I can only stand by. However, before you go, there is something I would like you to know. Without you, there would be no life on earth. I urge you to rethink, the state of your worth!”

MY REVIEW

Very well-written rhythm schemes make this book very fun to read aloud to kids.

Getting a science lesson on H2O, along with a lesson that you matter in this big world, even when you feel so insignificant is exceptional! Love it!

The artwork is beautiful.

I have one problem with this book; on the very last page, Brian leave a cute little rhythm to the kids. It's a little reminder that they are each a  gift to this world and are loved. That is great! I love that part... the line I could not agree with was this one:

You are One with everything there is!
After checking out Brian's website, I came to find why I had a hard time with this line... it's New Age teaching.

See, I am a born-again Christian. I believe in:

  • God
  • His Holy Word
  • the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ
  • God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit- Three in One
  • God hears my prayers

For this reason, I cannot recommend this book.

Though it is a well written, with lessons in science as well as each person has an important purpose in this world, I will not recommend this book because of it's New Age message.

I thank Brian and his publicist for sending me a copy to review.
