CD Review: The Real Thing by Shannon (with GIVEAWAY!)

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Shannon Perry is a singer, song writer, speaker and wife! (WOW! and I thought I was busy.)

Shannon speaks to thousands of women a year in her If The Shoes Fits conferences. Here's what Shannon has to say why the conferences are important to her:

“Far too many women are buying into lies these days,” she says. “The enemy tells us-- ‘you’re fat, ugly, short, tall, worthless’ and the list goes on-- so that we are stuck, not growing, and live in the same rut for many years of our lives. My prayer is that these events would help women find truth for their lives so that they not only leave the conference changed, but their marriages, children, families, friends, church and world are changed because they are finally set free to live the life they were called, anointed and chosen to live.”

Shannon s also a contributor to one of the largest Christian internet sites, Crosswalk.com, as well as a radio host of the show Grace in High Heels. He highest goal in it all is to turn eyes to Jesus!

MY REVIEW



Her songs range from so deep, The real Thing, to fun, like Bad Hair Day, but each has such a deep message. 


Shannon has a little western twang in her style with such a great and impacting message.


Of this CD, my favorite song would have to The Real Thing. The words were so touching and 'real'!  Each year I pick a new 'life theme song', this is mine for the year!

I want my belief in Christ, walk with Jesus and work for God to be the real thing, a true and genuine love for Him!

Here are a few lines:

I convince everyone around me 

how much I love You

I can turn a phrase 

of one of those clishays

and make 'em believe it's true

But you know who I am 

You know my heart

So take it

so I don't have to fake it

I wanna be the real thing

who loves Ya more than anything

I wanna be so genuine 

that when somebody's looking in

my heart

they see

the real thing...

Another great song is You Are Incredible! Beautiful words! Great worship song!

GOD IS INCREDIBLE!

This style music is a bit different from my normal playlist which includes lots of Worship and Christian Rock, but nonetheless it has my it onto my iPod!
